This is my new jekyll github pages site, where I plan to post short code tutorials or other ideas to preserve for my future self and share with others. I’ll also use it to maintain links to software and websites I develop, as well as data resources I use or create. I feel like this is a good way for me both showcase my work and contribute something to the community to help others with similar interests.

I like the github/jekyll system because:

  • it’s simple
  • I can develop the pages easily on a local computer
  • it lives in github, where I am constantly doing stuff already
  • others could conceivably easily add or correct things (via pull requests)
